Gabriel is part of an exciting new generation of young Brazilian coffee producers who are experimenting, innovating and pushing the envelope of what Specialty Coffee can be. The coffees harvested from the Nunes Coffee farms are rated as some of the best in the world and are winners of multiple national and international awards.
Gabriel is a third generation farmer and agronomist, who graduated from the renowned University of Viçosa in Brazil. He uses innovative processes and advanced technologies to bring vision to the family business. In 1984, his father, Osmar Nunes Junior planted ten hectares of Arabica coffee trees in the Cerrado Mineiro region, on land that his father, Osmar Pereira Senior had farmed a herd of cattle on for many years. Osma Snr was passionate about his coffee, but never imagined that his land would cultivate such a valuable fruit.
