Edgardo Urquia is a third generation coffee producer who owns and operates the Finca El Bosque plot in the La Paz region.
El Bosque is an 11ha area in the 30 year old Beneficio Villa Florida farm and is home to over 30,000 coffee trees and shade trees.
This Lempira coffee is a hybrid variety developed by Honduras's National Coffee Institute, IHCAFE. It performs very well when processed as a natural. After harvesting the ripe cherries, they are sorted and placed directly on raised beds to be sun-dried for 20 days, intensifying the flavours.
